Medium frequency electric furnace equipment is a power supply device that converts power frequency 50Hz alternating current to medium frequency (above 300Hz to 10000hz). The three-phase power frequency alternating current is rectified to direct current, and then the direct current is converted to adjustable intermediate frequency current. The medium frequency alternating current flowing through the capacitor and the induction coil generates high-density magnetic field lines in the induction coil, and cuts off the metal materials contained in the induction coil, thus generating large eddy current in the metal materials.

The eddy current also has some characteristics of intermediate frequency current. The free electrons of the metal itself have resistance and flow in the metal body to generate heat. For example, a metal cylinder is placed in an induction coil with alternating IF furnace equipment current. The metal cylinder is not in direct contact with the induction coil. The temperature of the coil itself is very low, but the surface of the cylinder is heated to redness or even melting.

The rate of reddening and melting can be achieved by adjusting the frequency and current intensity. If you place the cylinder at the center of the coil, the temperature around the cylinder is the same. Heating and melting the cylinder will not produce harmful gas or strong light, and will not pollute the environment. It consists of frequency converter, medium frequency electric furnace equipment and furnace control.

The power supply of the thyristor energy-saving medium frequency electric furnace converts the three-phase power frequency alternating current into direct current through the rectifier circuit, then supplies the single frequency medium frequency alternating current to the medium frequency coreless induction furnace through the output of the inverter circuit, and then uses the electromagnetic induction principle to place the workpiece on the alternating magnetic field. Eddy current and heat are generated, and heating requirements such as melting, quenching and heat penetration are met.
